Wow, I didn't realize until I looked at a map just how much further away this is. What used to be less than a half hour will now be at least 45 minutes, assuming traffic on the nightmare that is the DVP cooperates.

I agree that driving into the heart of the Danforth village is more challenging but we are talking about only once every 3 months (I would not want to do the drive every week) The old place was getting cramped, so I welcome the move to a bigger place.

Sounds exciting! Thanks for looking for a larger venue. It was always a little cramped at Agricola.

Traffic early Saturday morning south bound on the DVP shouldn't be that bad. Also, the route from the DVP Don Mills exit to the Legion Hall shouldn't be that bad either Saturday morning.

And I've lived in the area for awhile.

well, considering I take an hour and a half bus ride to get to Toronto first, the extra little bit of distance is nothing. It is along the subway line and hopefully will have more food choices than the Sub shop where we are now.

Since it is a Legion, I'll have to pack my darts and get in a few games. Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Nice find Pete and crew. See y'all in a couple.

What about the GO train option, Robert? I'm not sure what the cost is, but the station is around the corner from the Legion.

On Saturday, trains leave Union every hour on the :13, and arrive at Danforth 10 minutes later.

One way cost is $4.65 ($4.31 if you use Presto).

From Guelph though, it looks like its around $13.45 one way to the Danforth Station.

Probably cheaper than gas... but on the weekend, the Guelph line is a bus, and you'd change to a train at Union.

yeah, the GO train is strictly M-F at present. We just got the service back this year.
I take the greyhound in, reading rules or watching a movie on my ipad, and get off at Dundas terminal. I'll look into the GO train at Union as I can get off there as well.
Thanks for the heads up.

A little late here, but ...

Great location Pete. It's a legion hall - excellent choice.
This, of course, suggests vets.
= combat.
= conflict simulations.
= wargames. Very Happy
Good choice. I shall wear my old beret and cap badge. Smile

Steve

Just don't wear it into the mess. That will get expensive.

Yes. I did make that mistake. But only once.

( being razzed for it afterwards was more annoying ), Smile

Perhaps if you wore more than your beret and badge things may have gone better!
